Scientific Rationale
Stars are the building blocks of the Universe, therefore a better understanding of their evolution and nucleosynthesis is fundamental for understanding the evolution of the Universe, that is the main topic of Astrophysics.
Thanks to the progress in the observational facilities, as well as in the computational power, there have been improvements in the context of Stellar Astrophysics in the last decade, both from the observational and the theoretical point of view.
In this meeting, we intend to gather the most active researchers, both observers and theoreticians, in the various fields of Stellar Astrophysics (such as Stellar Evolution, Stellar Clusters, Stellar Populations, Supernovae and emitters of gravitational waves). This will be a great chance for groundbreaking ideas on the present knowledge of stars, as well as for discussing the future directions and perspectives of stellar astrophysics research.
